Alaíde Foppa contributions for an inclusive education. Developments of an ongoing investigation

This article shares results of research documenting the contributions developed by the intellectual and humanist Guatemalan Alaíde Foppa in the field of knowledge production. Research has delved into the author innovations in higher education development in order to incorporate the study of the experiences, needs and contributions of women to the academy. Creator of the first professorship of “Women’s Studies” in Latin America, founder of the radio program Women’s Forum and the prestigious Magazine Fem, Alaíde Foppa is a pioneer in the development of gender studies. Through research conducted between 2011 and 2015, they have explored various aspects of his intellectual contribution: epistemological contributions, radio production and feminist writings. Reaching as a result the creation of a corpus of knowledge about the history and contributions of Alaíde Foppa has been socialized through academic exchanges and publications. Another result has been the sustainability of the study achieved through the creation of the International professorship Alaíde Foppa. It has also achieved the recovery of phonographic and documentary heritage that contributes to document the history of women.
