Ludoteca: a successful model for educating readers

This article describes the experience of the implementation of the reading practices methodology named Ludoteca to help in the education of readers. It was designed as a multimedia centre, which elements facilitate the promotion and diffusion of the reading practices to and from various contexts. The project starts on 2004 through a municipal program named By the pleasure of read. Since then, have been experimenting with diverse strategies and extended the methodology to de education of readers in spaces like: municipal programs Art path and We play to play; Promoting the reading habit, organized by AECID; and the National Reading Program Reading had been said, of the Ministry of Education of Guatemala. At the same time, to consolidate this methodology, this had been supported by theoretical topics on Guatemalan Children and Young Adult Literature.
