This article presents the results of the evaluation, at a laboratory scale, of an experimental model of a facultative pond designed by the solar radiation and maximum organic loading surface method for the removal of the pollution load of wastewater from coffee processing in a wet tech coffee brokerage. The results obtained range between 47.17% and 78.92% of BOD5 removal, which represents an average percentage of 61.60% removal of the pollutant load from the agroindustrial effluents treated by the proposed methodology; therefore its implementation is validated as a primary treatment unit for the purification of the honey water.
