El Emprendimiento en estudiantes universitarias: Lecciones aprendidas para las universidades y las empresas

El emprendimiento femenino universitario constituye un campo de estudio emergente, pero aún limitado, especialmente en América Latina y Centroamérica. Este trabajo integra los resultados derivados de una revisión sistemática de la literatura académica internacional sobre la investigación del emprendimiento femenino universitario y un estudio empírico sobre autoeficacia emprendedora en estudiantes universitarias latinoamericanas. La revisión evidencia que estudios internacionales privilegian enfoques conductuales de las estudiantes, centrados en intenciones y actitudes, lo que invisibiliza la influencia de factores estructurales, sociales y contextuales en los estudios. En contraste, la investigación empírica desarrollada en la región confirma la percepción de las estudiantes sobre que los eventos de sus vidas son controlados por fuerzas internas y por factores externos, y los efectos de sus entornos social y universitario sobre su propia capacidad para tener éxito en la creación y gestión de un negocio. Se concluye que el emprendimiento femenino universitario es complejo, integra dinámicas de género, entornos institucionales y contextos sociales que inciden en las trayectorias emprendedoras. Se recomienda a las universidades impulsar programas con perspectiva de género para fortalecer la autoeficacia de las estudiantes; y a las empresas y gobiernos establecer alianzas estratégicas, fondos específicos e incubadoras inclusivas que permitan consolidar proyectos liderados por mujeres universitarias, ampliando así el impacto económico y social del emprendimiento en la región.
