Abstract

In 1715, Lieutenant Alejo de Estrada presented a report to the authorities, where he refers in extenso to a witchcraft trial followed several healers, for the worms found in the drink of Martín García Belesuy. The material used interpreters in its collection and presents a part of the text in K'iche'. It's about a event that caused sting in a colonial society, determined to eradicate this type of practices, which show us aspects such as resistance and survival, which are central in the analysis due to their significance.
