Author Biography

Aracely Esquivel Vásquez

Degree in Anthropology, graduated from the Escuela de Historia de la Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala, in August 1996. Senior researcher, in charge of the Centro de Estudios de las Culturas en Guatemala, Dirección General de Investigación, de la Universidad de San Carlos, from January 1, 1998 to date. In 2010, the Dirección General de Investigación awarded her the prize for Excellence in Research, recognizing her as: University Researcher of the Year.
