The University of San Carlos of Guatemala promoted the location, identification and repatriation of the remains of Rafael Landívar (1731-1793). In 1950, upon announcing the return of the poet's remains to Guatemala, they requested the Jesuit historian Manuel Ignacio Pérez Alonso (1917-2007) to publish the biography written by the priest Félix de Sebastián, companion in exile of the author of Rusticatio Mexicana. This biography was never published. The Jesuit historian preserved the spelling of the original, although not the division into paragraphs, which do not exist in the original. The director of Ipnusac extracted the subtitles from the summary to facilitate its reading
